WHAT

Centre for Slovene organizes exams from level A1 to C2 in the Common European Framework of Reference. The certificate is valid as a publicly recognized document that you need when you apply for citizenship or for other official use.
The language exam on a basic level is free if you hold a permanent residence permit and for your family members when they live in Slovenia on the base of family reunification. You file an application for the first Basic Level Slovenian Language Exam at the administrative unit where you registered your permanent or temporary address. To apply you will need to submit a Certificate of Eligibility for a free first Slovene language exam at the basic level. The Centre organizes the exams in locations all around Slovenia.
