Agreements on the avoidance of double taxation
WHAT
Slovenia concluded agreements on the avoidance of double taxation with a number of different countries in order to prevent people from paying the same income taxes twice.
Agreements on the avoidance of double taxation define which country has the right to impose tax on individuals. If both countries have this right, the agreement will define which country takes precedence. Agreements can stipulate different rules for different types of income.
WHO
Any person living in one country and working in another who is receiving income or performing economic activity.
